This client’s recovery was complicated by the fact that just 4 months prior to the car wreck, she had fallen approximately seven feet into a concrete pit and had to be hospitalized for treatment of neck and back injuries for 3 days.

JURY VERDICT/Affirmed on Appeal to the Georgia Court of AppealsOur client, a local small business owner, was sued for over $400,000 on a contractual dispute. To the other party, a large corporation, their right to recover seemed obvious. After three days of testimony, the jury disagreed. The jury returned a verdict in favor of our client saying nothing was owed to this large corporation. This saved our client the $400,000.00+ demanded by the Plaintiff.

The jury deliberated about an hour before returning its verdict of $250,810.00 in favor of our client. The judgment also included $19,956.75 in unliquidated damages interest against the insurance company. Defendant’s policy limits were only $100,000. Within three months of trial, over 100% of the original judgment was collected from the responsible insurance company.
